This policy explains what NEOLOGY LLC ("we") collects when you use Heirloom Tails (heirloomtails.com), why, and who we share it with. We keep it short and honest.

1. What we collect

Your email address — used as your account identity (no password; we send a one-time code) and to deliver your book and order updates.
The pet photos and name you provide — used to generate your storybook.
Order and payment info — your payment is handled by Stripe; we receive confirmation and order details but never your full card number.
Usage data — basic analytics (pages viewed, actions taken) to understand and improve the product.

2. How we use it

To generate and deliver your book, send transactional emails (verification codes, order status), process your payment, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Who processes your data

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

Cloudflare — hosting, file storage, and bot protection (Turnstile).
Stripe — payment processing.
Resend — sending transactional email.
Google (Gemini) and fal.ai — AI generation of your story and illustrations. Your photos and inputs are sent to these providers to create your book.
PostHog — product analytics.
Pinterest — advertising and conversion measurement (a Pinterest tag helps us understand which ads lead to purchases).

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and local storage for essential functionality and for analytics (via PostHog), including remembering how you first arrived so we can understand which channels work. You can clear these in your browser at any time.

5. Data retention

We keep your order and finished book so you can access them later, and retain your uploaded photos as needed to generate and re-deliver your book. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@heirloomtails.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

7. Children

The Service isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.

8. International

We operate from the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your data is processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
