Terms of Service

Heirloom Tails ("Heirloom Tails", "we", "us") is operated by NEOLOGY LLC. By using heirloomtails.com and our services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What we make

The Service turns a photo (or photos) of your pet plus a name into an AI-generated, watercolor-style illustrated storybook, delivered digitally as an online preview, a downloadable PDF, and a long shareable image. This is a digital product; nothing is physically shipped.

2. AI-generated content

The story and illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence in a hand-painted watercolor style. They are original AI artwork, not a photo filter and not painted by a human. Output varies between runs and may contain imperfections or not perfectly resemble your pet. That's the nature of generative AI, and it's not grounds for the Service being defective.

3. Your photos and your book

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. You confirm you have the right to use them and that they don't infringe anyone else's rights. You grant us a limited license to process your photos and inputs solely to generate and deliver your book. The finished book is yours to keep, print, and share for personal use.

4. Acceptable use

Don't upload content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, sexual, or that depicts real people without their consent. We may refuse or remove any order that violates this.

5. Price, payment, and refunds

A storybook costs $19.90 (USD), charged once via our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

You can preview your book's cover and watercolor style for free before you pay, so you know what you're getting. Because each book is then uniquely generated for you and delivered digitally, all sales are final and purchases are non-refundable. If something goes wrong on our end — a technical failure, a corrupted file, or a book that never generates — email us at hello@heirloomtails.com and we'll regenerate it or make it right.

6. Availability and "as is"

We work hard to keep the Service running, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Generation depends on third-party AI services and may occasionally be slow, unavailable, or produce unexpected results.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NEOLOGY LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
